What to include in a bug report
A short and specific message is far easier to act on than a long one. If a tool produced the wrong result, the two things that make it reproducible are the exact input you pasted and the output you expected instead. Include both where you can, and mention the browser you were using, because a handful of behaviours around dates, number formatting, and clipboard access differ between engines.
- The page URL, so we land on the same tool or guide you were reading.
- The input that triggered the problem, reduced to the smallest example that still fails.
- What you expected to see, and what appeared instead.
- Whether it happens every time or only under a specific condition.
Reporting a guide that is wrong or unclear
Guides on this site make factual claims about standards, encodings, and protocol behavior, and those claims are checked against primary sources before publication. If something is inaccurate, outdated, or simply explained in a way that did not help, tell us which sentence and why. Corrections are the most useful messages we receive, because every guide here is meant to be verifiable rather than merely plausible.
How your message is handled
Messages arrive in an inbox rather than a ticketing system, and each one is read. Legitimate inquiries normally receive a reply within a few business days, while corrections that need verification against a source can take longer. Your address is used only to answer you, and the contents of your message are never published or passed to a third party.
