Results are computed locally
Every tool runs in your browser. Results are generated by code executed on your device. While we aim for correctness, implementations may have limitations, and outputs for unusual or malformed input may be incorrect or incomplete.
Some results are estimates
Where a tool produces an approximation (for example, hashing or formatting of edge-case input), treat the output as an estimate. Do not rely on it for security, cryptographic, legal, financial, or production-critical decisions without independent verification.
Verify before production use
Always confirm critical output — decoded tokens, generated hashes, converted data, computed diffs, and schedule interpretations — against a trusted source before using it in a production environment.
No professional advice
Nothing on this site is legal, security, financial, or compliance advice. The guides explain how formats, encodings, and protocols behave, and the tools demonstrate that behaviour, but neither accounts for your obligations, your data, or your industry. Where a decision carries regulatory or contractual consequences, take advice from someone qualified to give it.
Accuracy and currency
Standards, browser behaviour, and library APIs change over time. Guides are checked against primary sources when published and revised when a change is reported, but a page cannot promise to be current on the day you read it. When a claim matters, confirm it against the specification or the official documentation for the version you are actually running.
Security-sensitive output
Tools that produce hashes, message authentication codes, encrypted output, or tokens are demonstrations of well-known algorithms, not audited cryptographic products. They are suitable for learning, for verifying a value, and for local work, but a security control should rely on a reviewed implementation that has been examined by people whose job is to break it.
Reporting an error
If a result here disagrees with an authoritative source, that is worth telling us about. Include the tool, the input, and what you expected, and the claim will be checked against the specification rather than against another blog post. Corrections are treated as a defect in the site and are the fastest way to improve it.
